I forgive for me

I forgive people, but that doesn't mean I accept their behavior or trust them.

Once upon a time, I used to hold grudges, I mean long grudges! And for what?!

The thing is, while I would get upset/angry at the sight of the person(s) who wronged me,

I noticed that they'd already moved on with their lives. Not a care in the world, just happy and content, lol!

Meanwhile, I was angered every time I saw or even thought of them.

At some point I had to self evaluate.  Why was I letting the sight, let alone, the very thought of someone,

anger me? Was I not giving that person(s) control over me? Why was I allowing others to have control over

my thoughts, my health, my actions, my blessings?

Did you know that anger can affect your health negatively?

Over the years, I've learned to forgive others for myself, so that I could actually let go, and move on with my

life.  I had to address my feelings, give them the attention they needed in those moments, and then

move on. There is nothing wrong with being angry and actually admitting to yourself and others how you

really feel. Learning how to communicate those feelings/expressing yourself effectively is where the

challenge comes in.  Always remember that making accusations, and expressing how you feel,

are two very different things. They both yield different results, one can escalate a situation, while the other

can de-escalate it.

I have also learned that some folks are just assholes, and there is nothing you can do to change that!

The best you can do is just walk away knowing that  misery loves company, and you want no part of it.

Today, I can say with confidence, that I don't let people get under my skin. One thing I've realized,  is that I

really don't have to be friends with, socialize with, give attention, or energy to people who don't serve me

spiritually or intellectually, in a positive manner.  Jah blessed us all with the freedom of choice, and I use

it every single day of my life!

Forgiveness! My gosh, hanging on to bad feelings are exhausting! lol!

I never really thought about it when I was younger, but sometimes people are not really out to hurt you. Their

focus may be else where. You never know what's going on in someone else's mind, or the distractions/issues

they may be trying to work out in their lives. You are not the only person in the world with

challenges/stress/problems, etc! So never just assume the worst of others. You may very well be

hanging on to bad feelings or begrudging someone else, not know they where totally unaware that their

words, actions, or inactions may have hurt you directly, or in-directly in any way, shape or form. Having an

actual conversation, may bring to light what may have just been a simple misunderstanding or

miscommunication on either person's part.

Then there is that one friend or family member, who has a habit of illtreating you, no matter how you much

you have tried to be there for them. They continue to take you for granted, drama follows them everywhere

they go. Ever notice how, they always have some drama in their lives, no matter what? They complain about

their situation, you lend a shoulder to cry on, you do your best to help.

And somehow, they find themselves right back in the very same situation they complained about! And the

cycle continues.  And don't be the one to point out their pattern, or tell them what most of us really need to

hear; "the cold hard truth!" because then you become the worse person on t

he face of this earth to them. Can you tell that i'm truly speaking from experience? lol!

Just know, that it's ok to forgive that person, and remove them from your life. There is nothing more you can

do for that person until they really decide to accept responsibility for their actions/behavior and the results

they yield. It really is ok to forgive that person, love them, and move on with your life.

Notice I didn't say to just trust blindly and be gullible to those whom have hurt or offended you continuously.

But, I do encourage you to put positive energy out in the

universe, and trust that you will attract what you put out there.

The  quality of my life improved drastically after putting things into perspective! I hope, that what I have

shared with you today may be a blessing. Always remember to love yourself enough to protect your peace.

My heart speaks....
